Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Aja Consulting Services Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information when you use the Aja Panchang website, consumer application, and optional Developer API Platform.

1. Who we are

Aja Panchang is operated by AJA Consulting Services Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Company email, mobile, and registered office are listed on the Contact page.

2. Information we collect

Account data (name, email, hashed password or OAuth identity), billing identifiers from payment providers when you subscribe, the optional city or location you choose so we can calculate panchangam, API usage metrics if you use developer keys, and technical data such as browser type from our hosting logs. The mobile app also processes the Google Advertising ID, approximate location, IP address, and app-activity events used for advertising and analytics, as described in Advertising and analytics below. We do not require sensitive personal data to use the daily panchangam.

3. How we use information

We use this data to provide panchangam for your location, authenticate you, enforce plan limits, process payments, send transactional email (OTP, receipts, renewals), keep the service reliable, show advertisements in the mobile app, and understand feature use. We do not sell personal data.

4. Cookies and local storage

The website stores session tokens, language, and location preferences in cookies or local storage so the experience stays consistent. The developer portal also stores session data so you stay signed in. You can clear these by signing out or clearing site data.

5. Sharing

We share data with payment processors, email delivery, and infrastructure providers only as needed to operate the service. The mobile app also shares advertising and analytics data with Google (AdMob and Firebase), as described below. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the platform from abuse or fraud.

6. Advertising and analytics

The Aja Panchang mobile app uses Google AdMob to show advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may collect and process:

• Device identifiers, including the Google Advertising ID
• IP address and approximate location
• App activity such as ad impressions and taps
• Diagnostic data needed to serve, measure, and protect ads

This information is used to show ads (including personalized ads where allowed), measure ad performance, and detect invalid traffic.

The Android app also uses Firebase Analytics (Google) for aggregated feature-use events such as screen views. You can limit advertising personalization from the device settings above.

The consumer website does not currently display ads.

7. Retention and security

API keys are stored hashed. Access logs retain operational metadata. We apply reasonable technical safeguards; no method of transmission is 100% secure. Closing an account may retain billing records and logs as required for legal or security purposes.

8. Your rights

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access, correction, or erasure of personal data we hold, or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Write to us using the Contact details. We may retain information we are legally required to keep.

To delete an Aja Panchang account created with a registered mobile number (including older app versions), use the Delete account page. The current consumer app does not require login. If you never registered, there is no account to delete.

9. Children

The service is not directed at children under 18. If you believe we have collected personal data of a child, contact us and we will delete it where required.

10. International processing

Our processors may store or process data outside India (for example payment, email, advertising, or analytics providers). We use them only to operate the service.

We may update this Policy. The “Last updated” date on this page will change when we do.
